COMAFs differ from APAMAs only in that the rubber element (or two elements) are also vulcanised to a lower metal plate with holes for anchoring.

The choice of one type or the other depends solely on the fixing system. In particular, COMAF will be preferred if transverse dynamic forces are present or if the support surface is particularly smooth.
